CloudPlatform "Campo" release date

What is the CloudPlatform "Campo" release date or even approximate release date?

Will the Campo release include support for VM instances to have multiple IP addresses?

Regards,

The official release date has been delayed. I will try to find out the new date.

In pre-Campo releases you could have VM connected to more than one network and have more than one IP. Is that what you looking for?

Radek.

Is CloudPlatform Campo (3.0.7 Patch B) still on schedule for late August release? I am testing with XenServer 6.2 and would like to use CloudPlatform.

Thanks!

Yes, that's right. I personally don't know exact date, maybe someone else will post it but it is planed to be released late August begin of September.
Citrix Cloud Platform code name Campo is base on open source Cloud Stack 4.2, so it's a long jump from 3.0.7.

Radek.

CloudPlatform 3.0.7 PatchB is already released. If you need to know where to get it then please raise a support ticket with Citrix.

Hey Gert,
CloudPlatform 3.0.7 Patch B is already released, but its not available to the public. If you have a support agreement with Citrix, you can open a ticket with Citrix's tech support team and they should be able to get it to you. But if you dont have support with Citrix then you'll probably have to wait.

Then if you were like me and testing XenServer 6.2 and wanting to use CloudPlatform, I had to just contact my account rep and they worked it all out for me with testing CloudPlatform.

Thanks,
Rusty

Heloo Rusty Wolf,

I have installed 3.0.7B i is released, jou can download it at citrix..

But understanding of campo is that you can resize disk, have more ips on a single computer.
And it should be a major upgrade from 3.0.7A ~ 4.2 then i am missing something, am i not ?

Kind regards
Gert

Hey Gert,
Ah gotcha. Well to my understanding those features should be coming in CloudPlatform version 4.2, which will line up with Apache's CloudStack version 4.2.

Thanks,
Rusty

Hello Rusty Wolf,

Thanks for the anserw..

But i can not help thinking that we who are useing citrix cloudstack are left behind, as those
using apache cloud stack allready have a more mature platform.

Disk resize etc. and apache CS 4.2 i can not see any release date, then when it is released
we will properbly be waiting 4-6 week before citrix releases their version.

So for my point we are missing a version of Cloud stack, if it is correct that apache ad citrix are lining up their versions.

But again thanks.. :)

Kind regards
Gert

Gert,

Citrix is one of the major contributors to ACS. You should see the code repository and check-ins.

There are reasons why certain features present in ACS aren't present in CCP. One being those features do not have much demand from Citrix customers. Other being we are still waiting for those features to be production ready.

Hence the wait for Campo for all those features. I don't think there will be a 4-6 weeks between ACS 4.2 and Campo. They are in fact exactly the same release meaning they get released exactly at the same time.

The release is expected end of this month, 3.0.7 Patch C also being released around the same time.

Hope that clarifies.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH, for the release date and the download link. :)

I have some servers that need to have their disks expanded... - Great.

I have just downloaded it, is it production ready... :)

Kind regards
