Get ConVirt

Setting up ConVirt environment involves installing the ConVirt software and preparing servers to be managed by ConVirt.

ConVirt From Repository

In most cases you would be able to install ConVirt using the repository hosted by Convirture. Please follow instructions given below

Install ConVirt using Repository (Recommended method)

ConVirt using packages and tarball

Download one of the packages from the following and follow instructions given here

• RPM for Fedora/CentOS/RHEL
• RPM for OpenSuse/SLES
• DEB for Ubuntu
• DEB for Debian
• Tarball

Preparing Managed Server

Download the tarball from the following location and follow instructions given here.

OpenSuse Build Service

In the openSUSE Buildservice ConVirt packages and in most cases required dependencies are available for a number of rpm based distributions:

• openSUSE Factory
• openSUSE 11.0
• openSUSE 10.3
• SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10
• Fedora 9
• Fedora 8
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
