How to modify UI display text with CPBM package?

Hi,

 

I need to change a label text in CPBM web page. I tried following steps but failed. Who please help to solve the problem. Thanks in advance.

 

1. Find the jar package included that jsp page, eg. cloud.apachecloudstack.fragment-1.1.1.jar

includes virtualMachineEditor.jsp. I need to change text of "label.subscribe.hostname.optional"

 

2. Find the multi-language package named portal.appresources-2.1.1.jar, unpack it.

 

3. Modify that line in the all related files: ApplicationResources*.properties.

 

4. Pack it and copy it back and restart cloud-portal service.

 

5. Login and find no change in that UI.

 

So who knows what's wrong here? Thanks!

Hi Yongjun,

 

To change any application resource please follow the document at: http://support.citrix.com/proddocs/topic/cpbm-22-map/cpbm-customization-resource-properties-con.html

 

And after making changes you can build and install the updated bundle by following the document at: http://support.citrix.com/proddocs/topic/cpbm-22-map/cpbm-install-build-custom-components-tsk.html

 

Please note that you should modify only customisation bundles for any kind of custom change. And under NO circumstance you should change other CPBM bundles.
