Add/Remove networks to a VM

You can add, update, or remove a Network Interface Card (NIC) on a VM from Accelerite CloudPlatform 4.1.0 onwards. This feature supports the following:
  • Adding a NIC on a VM Instance
  • Update the default NIC on a VM Instance
  • Remove a NIC from a VM Instance

As a user, you can add or remove networks to a VM that belongs to you. Network must be created to add a NIC to a VM. You cannot perform any actions for current default network of the VM. You have the option to update the default NIC. The default NIC will be labelled as 'Default'. You can remove a NIC added to a VM, if it is not the default.
Note:
  • Add, Delete, and Update are not supported for Hyper-V VMs in running state
  • When resource shared mode is set to false:
    • The networks created by the current user will be listed in the Add Network to VM wizard.
    • Root and Master users cannot add or remove NIC to/from any other user's VM.
    • Root user can add NIC to the VM launched by the Master user.
