Creating a custom Agent Package

Hello all,

This is Ahmad Salman.

I want to ask if we can create a custom agent with all needed policy (Audit, Usage, Security, Software, etc.) so we can deploy it at once instead of doing this after agent installation.

This will save time and effort especially for large environment.

Hi Salman,

When you say "all needed policy (Audit, Usage, Security, Software, etc.)" are you referring to assignment of Audit, Usage, Security, Software services? The assignment can be done in advance

anyway as long as you're assigning policies at group level. You just have to ensure you have appropriate timers in your Agent install.ini that trigger the Audit, Usage, Security and Software connects after install.

The individual timers can be replaced by a single chained connect script if that's something you prefer.
