The "SystemVM Template" is only for CloudStack system VMs and you cannot use it to deploy your own template. There may be a problem with the SSVM networking. There is a default CentOS template that the SSVM will download and make available for creating instances, but apparently this wasn't downloaded, and the template you tried to add also couldn't be downloaded. The Troubleshooting the Secondary Storage VM section of the Installation Guide has some suggestions you can follow. Besides that, if the web server hosting your templates is on an internal network, make sure to add it to secstorage.allowed.internal.sites in Global Settings.

Is the Secondary Storage VM up and in "Running" status? If it is but no templates are available, you should download the latest Installation Guide and follow follow the "Troubleshooting the Secondary Storage VM" section to confirm the SSVM is working properly with the correct network access.

My secondary storage sits on the standalone hardware. I exported my NFS in a centos box. I followed the steps which provided in the install guide.

I done the below steps to ensure my secondary and primary partition are reachable. - Pass
I tried to mount my primary and secondary storage on management server â Pass
I tried to mount my primary and secondary storage on ESXi host
From my storage box I ensured internet is reachable by pinging google.com

As part of cloud stack I ran the below command to download the VMWare OVA and it completed successfully.

But Cloud stack created VM in my ESXI host with the name of â5269dcfaf26b391d86704a55f01b5e74â. But it was not powered on state. I found the below error message in the log file(management-server.log).

There seems to be a problem with the NFS server. There shouldn't be any errors like this. Check the directory permissions, /etc/exports configuration, and SELinux, and retry until the command works successfully.

Log back in to the hypervisor host and try to mount the /export directories. For example
(substitute your own management server name):
# mkdir /secondarymount
# mount -t nfs <management-server-name>:/export/secondary /secondarymount

My error is mount is unknown batch in ESXi!!!! how do you run this command????

To mount an NFS share you should use vSphere Client. The example from the installation guide you mentioned is only applicable to KVM and XenServer hosts.

yes, I do too . but first i use "openfiler" to create NFS storage and then use bleow command:

#vi /etc/exports
#/export *(rw,async,no_root_squash)
# exportfs -a
On the management server, create a mount point for secondary storage. For example
# mkdir -p /mnt/secondary
# mount -t nfs nfsservername:/nfs/share/secondary /mnt/secondary

Is it Ok?

I'm also having issues with my secondary storage and templates not being ready. I added the CIDR of the webserver to secstorage.allowed.internal.sites and rebooted the management server. In the logs I am seeing this:

I went through the troubleshooting steps in the install guide and I cannot SSH to the SSVM because of the following error:

No route to host

When I go to the console of the SSVM through XenCenter I am seeing all kinds of errors such as:

startpar: service(s) returned failure: dnsmasq apache2 ... failed!

So I think something went crazy somewhere but i don't know where to go to fix it. I am not much of a linux guy so detailed instructions would be very helpful.
