Understanding the dashboard

When you log in to CloudPortal Business Manager, the landing page is the dashboard. The dashboard gives you an at-a-glance view of your account. The dashboard provides a summary view which varies depending on which user is logged in. Links are provided to allow you to navigate to the pages to view more information or take necessary action.

Who can use the Dashboard
Every user, no matter their role, has a dashboard.
  • The Master user can see information on service health, spend, spend vs budget, active users and active subscriptions, the billing information, notifications, service tickets, and so on.
  • A normal user can see information on service health, active subscriptions (of that user only), spend, notifications, and tickets.

How to Use the Dashboard

  1. Log in to CloudPortal Business Manager UI as Master user (or normal user).
  2. At any time, you can return to the dashboard by clicking Home > Dashboard.
Master user dashboard view
  • Active users: Number of active users in the account .
  • Active subscriptions: Number of active subscriptions for the account.
  • Spend: The spend in the currency specified for the account.
  • Spend vs Budget: You can view the budget set, the actual spend, and the net balance. Click the appropriate links to set the budget and manage spend alerts.
  • Understand your bill: You can see the start date of your billing period. Click the appropriate links to help you understand and manage various aspects of your bill.
  • Service Health: You can get an at-a-glance summary of the service health of the cloud services enabled for your account. Click View All to see the details.
  • Getting Started: You can click the link to browse the product catalog, see the product offerings, and subscribe to product bundles.
  • Notifications: You can view the notifications for events and issues, for the current date and the previous date. Click the appropriate links to view all notifications and manage your notification preferences.
  • Tickets: You can view any outstanding support tickets that are not yet addressed. Click the appropriate links to view all tickets filed and the maintenance schedule or submit a support ticket.
  • My Tasks: You can see all the pending tasks (if any) for the master user. Click View all Tasks to view all tasks.
  • Users: You can view all the users present in that account. Click the appropriate links to edit user information or to add a new user, respectively.
Normal user dashboard view
  • Active subscriptions: Number of active subscriptions for the your user account. Does not include the subscriptions of other users of your account.
  • Spend: The spend in the currency specified for the account.
  • Service Health: You can view the current service health of the cloud services enabled for your account. Click View All to see the details, submit support tickets, and view the maintenance schedule.
  • My Tasks: You can view all the pending tasks for you. Click View all Tasks to view all tasks.
  • Notifications: You can view the notifications for events and issues, for the current date and the previous date. Click the appropriate links to view all notifications and manage your notification preferences.
