Google Chrome Update - Accelerite Customer Advisory
On September 21st, 2017, Google has released Chrome version 61.0.3163.100 for Windows, Mac, and Linux to address multiple vulnerabilities in Google Chrome versions prior to 61.0.3163.100. To date, Google has already fixed 25 vulnerabilities (8 of them were assessed as High-severity issues) affecting different Chrome 61 releases, half of which were reported by external researchers.
Technical Description
Google has just released an updated version of Chrome 61, version 61.0.3163.100, that addresses 3 security flaws, two of which rated high-severity. The new version is already available for Windows, Mac, and Linux users and includes a total of three vulnerabilities.
- [765433] High CVE-2017-5121: Out-of-bounds access in V8.
- [752423] High CVE-2017-5122: Out-of-bounds access in V8.
- [767508] Various fixes from internal audits, fuzzing and other initiatives.
