| Details Microsoft has just released its latest Security Intelligence Report. It summarizes information collected from over 1B PCs located across the world. According to Microsoft’s data, on average 9 out of a 1,000 Windows XP PCs are infected with malware. This is 6 times the rate of infected Windows 8 based PCs. Newer operating systems including Windows 7 and Windows 8 have significant security enhancements that limit their vulnerability to malware leading to more secure environments. With the high costs of any security breach, businesses still on Windows XP should be very concerned and should build plans to upgrade from Windows XP. Upgrade plans are urgent because in addition to the security concerns, Microsoft will end all support for Windows XP in April 2014. | Implications to your Radia Client Automation support As a result of Microsoft's announcement on the end of support for Windows XP on April 8, 2014, Radia will no longer support Windows XP as a supported client platform starting on April 8, 2014. This includes no longer providing patches (since Microsoft will no longer distribute them), no longer updating the OS management capability for Windows XP, etc. |
