adding iscsi primary storage

adding iscsi primary storage

Hey guys,

 

Really hoping someone can help me out here.

 

I have installed CloudPlatform 4.2 and am trying to add iscsi storage as primary storage.

 

It keeps failing and just says unable to add storage.

 

Checking the logs on the management server, I can see that its failing authentication to connect to our Dell EqualLogic.

 

It doesnt ask me for the chaps username or password anywhere in the add storage screen, so how do I add credentials to this connection so that it wont fail?

adding iscsi primary storage

So i tried and tried and wasnt able to get chaps to authenticate.

I edited iscsid.conf to include the chap username and secret... this didnt work.

 

I ended up removing the authenitcation for the iqn and instead locking it down to the IP range of my cloud management.

Disappointed i wasnt able to use this simple feature
