Windows Desktop Connector Guide

Hi, We would like to test the integration of CPBM 2.2 with XenDesktop, from following the instructions, I need to copy a jar fie to the vts3/connectors folder, but I can't find the mentined files.

Here the instructions with the name of the file and the link to the documentation.

  1. Transfer the binaries com.citrix.ssd-<x.x.x>.jar to the location /usr/share/vts3/connectors

http://support.citrix.com/proddocs/topic/cpbm-21-map/cpbm-ssdconn-installconn-tsk.html

Thanks for any help1

Windows Desktop Connector Guide

Hi Javier,

The CPBM connector to SelfService Desktop is still an experimental connector. And in order to download it please get in touch with your sales contact in Citrix.

Thanks,

Manish

Hi Manish, Thanks for your reply. I will contact sales to get access to the connector installation files.

Btw, since I can't find information about this connector, maybe you or others here in the blog can help to clarify the use case for the connector.

If I have a Xendesktop infrastructure running, is this CPBM connector able to communicate with XenDesktop front end or controllers to coordinate the delivery of the desktop to the requestor ( client) ?

many thanks!

Hi Javier,

The Windows desktop connector is for Windows Desktop Service (Windows Desktop Web Interface configured with Citrix XenDesktop and Citrix CloudPlatform).
The connector, when added to CPBM , enables following functionalities for Windows Desktop Service:
  • Customer admin (master user) self-service customer account creation, user creation
  • Customer admin (master user) self-service customer plan provisioning for Hosted Exchange, Hosted Apps and Desktops, and SharePoint 2010
  • Single Sign On (SSO) into Windows Desktop Web Interface from CPBM
  • Usage collection and billing for Windows Desktop

Thanks,

Manish

Hi Manish, thanks for the details!

One extra question  about the compatibility for Windows desktop connectorm do you know which version of XenDesktop.
v7 or v5,6

And last question, is about the URL of the connector, is this a Web Interface or can we use StoreFront ?
Many thanks Javier.

After some reconfiguration, the web application is working fine, and I can create, delete desktops. But After I create the configuraiton in the CPBM, I can't access the catalog as a user, from the logs I get this error:

Hi Javier,

We do not have metric for what all XenDesktop versions are supported with this connector because this is just experimental connector. But it should be working with XD 5.6, 7, 7.1, 7.5.

Regarding the above error, this looks like version compatibility issue. I am sure but it might be possible that this connector is not compatible with CPBM 2.2.

Thanks,

Manish
