CloudStack Production Problem

CloudStack Production Problem

We have a CloudStack/Xenserver cloud in production.

We have a Xenserver HV2 (we have 3) is marked as DOWN in CloudStack (V3.02).

The VM's on HV2 are still running fine, and are accessible via the public network.

Force reconnect apparently does not force the unit back into the UP state.
How long does one typically have to wait to see if force reconnect is going
to work?

Is my next step to attempt to put HV2 into maintenance mode?

CloudStack Production Problem

I've seen this situation before and, in my case, it was because Xen API service wasn't working anymore because of lack of disk space (logs filled the disk). I followed this post to fix the problem: http://www.techmediaconsulting.com/index.php/virtualization/citrix-xenserver-run-out-of-disk-space

If it's a production environment and you have Citrix support is better to have them involved though. In my case it was a lab environment.

Hi Warren,

Is this resolved?

As Daniel recommended, since this is production, you should get Citrix Support involved.

The logs were the problem.
