Migrate Radia agents to new environment

Hi,

We have plan to migrate about 5,000 computer to new Radia environment.

All applications will be the same in both environment. Is there some way to read which application are installed on computers and get installation date and status?

Database will be new

Hi Pawel,

Using Radia Inventory manager you can discover software installed on all computers. Multiple services in the AUDIT domain can help you achieve this, you may start by assigning

the following services to all computers in policy: NVDM_DISCOVERY_OF_APPLICATIONS and MSI_INSTALLED_SOFTWARE followed by running an audit connect (radskman dname=audit).

You'll find the resuts in reporting: Inventory Management Reports --> Software Reports --> Discovered Software --> Product Reports.

Word of caution
When you say all applications will be the same in both environments.   Do you mean that the applications are installed by the Radia client on both environments and you will be pointing the Radia client from one environment to another?  If this is the case the applications have be exported and imported between the 2 environments so they are identical and keep their same object instance datetime, in addition the Radia software domains have to have the same instance datetime  or every Radia managed application install will go through an update process as part of the migration.  Which is not fun.
