Can anyone clarify what the deletion process in terms of stages...
Basically when i run a "select * from volumes"
Some are set in a Destroy state (inc all recent ones) and some are "Expunged". Which shpould they be ? i thought it was expunged, so could the Destroy ones be taking up space unnecessarily ?

They should be in "Expunged" state. This is a known defect and will be fixed in one of the upcoming CCP releases.
I do not believe this causes unnecesary space consumption; the only impact I know of is usage being calculated for these volumes.
Thanks Somesh. Is there any benefit in me updating the DB entry to say expunged for all VMs saying "Destroyed" ?
You should do that for consistency but I don't see any real benefit. The usage data will still get incorrectly calculated.
You need to update the event table to correct that. I believe there will be a Citrix KB article for this soon.
