Getting started with cloud

Hello,

Im a beginner to cloud computing and i need some help setting up my own private cloud.With two high end laptops and a storage space of 20TB can i setup a private cloud over a network(i.e lan or intranet) and deploy my database project into the cloud.can u prefer some reading materials or links to understand how this can be achieved .im a student and desperately need help.

my project needs to be scalable and store concurrent data.and i need a proper understanding on how is storage virtualized and how cloud stack implements the storage controller.

Thanks Radek,
i will read it through.But my real query was that whether installing cloudstack in a high end system can i have my own private cloud over a intranet.To my understanding Cloud is just a concept of virtualization and is applications that is scalable and process lots of data.

Hmmmm Abhijit, so maybe you looking for something like VPC. A VPC acts as a container for multiple isolated networks that can communicate with each other via its virtual router?
