Backup of VMs

Hello,

I have been looking for a good backup solution, at the moment we are

backing up our vms inside using TSM, but are there any compatible backup

solution for cloudPlatform ?

I mean how to backup vm that is Off ?

Is it viable as a ISP to make a secondary backup of the customers system.

as i see it the snapshot are for the customers, but if the entire system breaks down,

we are responseble for getting it up and running again.

Any thoughts ?

Hello Somesh,

Thank you for your anserv, but what i am looking for is some kind of disaster recover, if our disk systems fail.

I can use snapshots, but that is pretty much it if i read the documentation..

I'm also searching for a backup solution for CCP. Has anyone any thoughts? Or are replicating storage and Volume Snapshots the only options?

Gert and Neil,

DR for storage has to be implemented at the storage level. The best possible way would be if your storage support transparent replication of raw data. In that case, you could have all the storage data replicated to a secondary site and in case of disaster, make the secondary site online. But essentially, the DR capabilities used here are that provided by the storage not CCP.
