   Unfortunately CS does not have such feature. From what I know there is no platform which would offer this.

This would need to relay on hypervisor capabilities and I can imagine this would be quite complicated to implement and than orchestration layer like CloudStack would need to collect the information and present it to end users.

Thanks for your response Radoslaw  If i use hypervisor is it possible to do it? Atleast would I be able to view the energy consumed by VMs in servicing a job request? If so, which hyppervisor should I use? I saw a sample code in cloudsim (it is based on MIPS and it assumes this much amount of MIPS uses this much amount of energy) but I need to do in a real time environment.

Uma, this looks very complex to me. I haven't heard any hypervisor support such thing. 

I can imagine that modern CPUs might have necessary hardware counters to measure real CPU utilization and knowing CPU average power consumption you could estimate VM CPU power usage.

But how to measure power consumption of network adapters or disk? I am almost certain there is no such technology available yet.

Can I assume that this processor would be running at this MIPS and for this amount of MIPS, the energy will be approximately this much? Can i assume like this and proceed?
