Unable to download iso template

Unable to download iso template

Hello,

I got cloudstack 4.3 up and running with xenserver 6.2. When I try to add a iso file I get the error : "Timeout waiting for response from storage host".

The secondary nfs share is stored on the cloudstack server. The primary share is on my xenserver. I'm running a simple webserver where the ISO\s are stored. The cloudstack server made a get-request  on the web server, but thats about it.

I checked the management-server.log:

Troubleshooting steps so far:

- I have configured secstorage.allowed.internal.sites with the IP-adress from the webserver

-Added a second drive (20GB) for the secondary storage. I thought my secondary nfs share didnt had enought space for the iso's.

-Logged on the system-VM and could ping to WAN- and LAN-devices.

Any kind of help would be appreciated

Kind regards,

Alex

Hello Alex,

Are you using wget from inside secondary storage VM? Do we have sapce on the path where we are trying wget?

Going back to original issue, I would suggest to use a linux based webserver. If you are going to use the windows one, please ensure the mime type for .iso file is added.

Regards,

Abhisek

Hi Abhisek,

I was browsing the internet and found this posted and got it working now. It seems that dns name on the secondary storage was the problem. I changed it to the IP from my secondary NFS-server and that fixed it.

Got ISO's working and I can deploy servers now.

Kind regards,

Alexander

Unable to download iso template

Hello Alex,

Are you using a Windows IIS webserver? Looks like I had similar issue while using IIS and had to set the MIME type for the ISO files.

Regards,

Abhisek

Hi Abhisek,

Thanks for your reply. I'm using a free simple http file server named HFS. I will try IIS webserver, maybe the tool isn't that compatible or something.

Kind regards,

Alexander

edit:

Well. that didn't seems to be the problem. I don't know if it's normal, but when I try wget on the systemvm to a iso file on my webserver, the download fails at 33%. I get the errror "Cannot write to `CentOS-6.7-x86_64-minimal.iso' (No space left on device)".
