Apparently the template doesn't exist anymore. Did it move to a new location?

Hello.

Here in our business we want to add a cloud solution service to our customers, so we download the trial version of CloudPlataform to test it, but we use Hyper-V as hypervisor.

After 'digging' the web for information, we found that there is no 'native' support for Hyper-V, but there is a plugin for CloudStack.

We keep researching the web for info, but we couldnt find any information about this plugin on CloudPlataform and if it works well or not.

Can someone please clarify this for me? Is it possible to have a good Citrix CloudPlataform perfomance using Hyper-V as hypervisor? Please note that change the hypervisor is not an option for us, because we already have a lot ot of VMs running on it.

Im a beginner to cloud computing and i need some help setting up my own private cloud.With two high end laptops and a storage space of 20TB can i setup a private cloud over a network(i.e lan or intranet) and deploy my database project into the cloud.can u prefer some reading materials or links to understand how this can be achieved .im a student and desperately need help.

my project needs to be scalable and store concurrent data.and i need a proper understanding on how is storage virtualized and how cloud stack implements the storage controller.

Hi All

I've setup a VPC with several tiers however the vm's in the tier's don't appear to pick up the IP address assigned to them.

Each VM show's an assigned IP address under it's instance NIC card but this isn't reflected within the VM when it uses DHCP. When I assign a static IP (using the one assigned to it) it comes back with a duplicate IP.

Can someone explain what I am missing here?

HI All,

Just running through the installation routine of the management server and when I hit M to install the management server after a couple of seconds I get the attached error message with basically says */repodata/repomd.xmk errno 14 could not open read file */repomd.xml. I'm using the citrix download of cloudstack and not the opensource version.

Does anyone have any idea on what this error might be, I think I'll try it on centos 6.2 as well just to see if that makes any difference.

HI,
After destroying a VM instance via the CloudStack GUI, the actual files on the vmware host are not deleted.
I tried changing the global settings expunge.interval* and *expunge.delay to 60secs each, but all this did was remove them from the list of instances in CloudStack GUI.

Any Ideas?

I have successfully installed cloudstack 4.0 on CentOS 6.3.
Only problem I am having is with templates and the SSVM.

After I register a new OVA or ISO via the GUI, the Status gets stuck at 2-5% downloading for forever.
It is only after I restart the SSVM(Secondary Storage VM) that the download actually starts and completes successfully.

As I am unable to log into the SSVM server because of a public key error, how can I resolve this?

I have added my webserver to secstorage.allowed.internal.sites

Im running into an annoying issue when creating a new template(by using Cloudstack, template, register new template) and was wondering if anyone has seen this.
Below are the error logs and mysql changes made to make this work. I just don't understand why this happens when some templates are uploaded. The version I'm running is CloudPLatform 3.0.3 and Xenserver 6.0.3 with updates XS602E001-010.
The issue is that when a new template is uploaded and a new instance is being created I get an error that the mount point can't be mounted on the hypervisor, the SSVM has download the template successfully and can mount the SR. Its when the Hypervisor tries to mount the SR(install_path) where it errors out. As you can see the error in bold show that there is a mount occurring with "//" in the mount path. If anyone has any ideas on why this is happening it would be great to know. Thanks in advanced.

i use CCP 3.0.5a with two Hosts.

I setup a zone with advanced Networking. For the Guest-Network i setup a VLAN Range from 1001 - 1500.

However, CCP assigns VLANs impartial from the provided Range.

I see Accounts which have the VLAN 3201 assigend for example.

Why this happens?

I was in process of creating my initial private cloud. I have followed the "CloudStack Advanced Installation Guide" and successfully configured cloud stack. I have configured cloud stack with VMWare as my hypervisor.

I followed the below steps to create the instance.

Now i am trying to create my new instances.
Go to the Instances tab, and filter by My Instances.
. Click Add Instance and follow the steps in the wizard.
. Choose the zone you just added.
. In the template selection, choose the template to use in the VM.

Here i dont see any template to choose. But when i see the template in "template" screen i can the see the template.

Hey all,

i deleted three Primary Storages (NFS SR) in CCP. The SRs are deleted from the Cluster.

However, in the CCP UI they are still shown in state "deleted".

How can i delete this objects? I need to reattach them but CCP gives a error message that the Exports are already added.

In cloudstack 2.x we were able to go to the virtual routers section and search through them based on a customer's domain ID

It seems this feature does not exist in 3.0.5. So my question is - How can I find out which domain router relates to a specific customer?

If i go to infrastructure > virtual routers there is a search box but it seems it only allows us to search using the domain router name, which doesn't help me since there are a few hundred routers and I don't know which one is for the customer i'm looking for!

Hey all,

i have two CCP 3.05 Servers running. Everything was fine, but when i now try to login to the ui with default password and username (admin / password) nothing happens. I can also fill in some user which does net exist and try to logon, its still the same, nothing happens.

The Services are started, the mysql DB is reachable and the management server log shows me many activity but nothing what is related to the login process.

I already tried several browser... It doenst work..

Does anybody knows what could be the problem?

I have my cloud up and running but I cannot view the console of any of my instances. The browser opens a new windows which then gives an error of the operation timed out trying to contact <IP>.realhostip.com.

I cannot see any problems with the system VM and all browsers are the same.

I am running CloudPlatform 3.0.5 patch1 can anyone provide any help getting this working.

Hello,

It is very simple to generate API keys for any user. Unfortunately, there is no mention of how to do this in the Admin Guide or the install Guide. It would be very easy to add the simple directions of how to do this in the documentation. It's as simple as pressing a button, but if you don't know that you might stumble around the documentation for hours trying to figure it out.

Also, under the directions for creating SSH keypairs, the documentation instructs you to run a curl command with port 8096. However, this does not work until you set integration.api.port in Global Settings to 8096 and reboot the management server. And, the documentation does not mention this.

For, reference I was issuing the curl command directly from the management server. The note in the documentation that says "If you are making the API call from a different server, your URL or port number will be different" is confusing, because it leads you to think that port 8096 should work by default, therefore causing you to look for something other than the port configuration as the root of the problem.

These are very simple fixes to the documentation, and they could save people wanting to try out Cloudplatform a fair amount of time trying to figure those things out. If there is a better place to put this kind of request, please let me know.

I'm new to Cloudstack and I started to set up my first cluster yesterday. Everything has been running smoothly until I went to add a new host. I followed the steps on the guide on installing a new hypervisor host and attempted to add it via the UI. When attempting to add, Cloudstack UI comes up with the error "Unable to add host" with no further information. I checked the logs on the host server and seen that it is SSH'ing in and then drops 3-6 seconds later.

VC01 is running in the same network as the Management Server & Primary Storage 10.100.1.0/24
Storage is hosting the secondary storage NFS 10.205.1.0
Public isn't in use but does exist as a network - 10.210.1.0

Management server has 2 NICs (10.100.1.206 and 10.215.1.10)
I have management data centre and a Guest data centre each with 1 host in for now. I have created all the networks on the management data centre host and just left the guest data centre host blank for CloudPlatform to create them itself, is that correct??

I'm getting errors like this in the management server log:

java.lang.Exception: Unable to find vSwitchCE_MGMT

CE_MGMT is a VM port group I manually created in the VM Management host and labelled it in the zone creation wizard.
Currently there is a v-2-VM which is powered off and a s-*-VM which keeps deleting itself and spinning back up with a higher number on the Guest Host. They are currently residing in the cloud.private.untagged.0.1-vSwitch0 along with the ssytem template.

Please could someone have a look and see what's going wrong?

I am setting up a private cloud and I want to change the default URL from http://<server>:8080/client to simply htp://<server>. This would make things a lot easier for users to remember.

The documentation on customisation simply says to refer to the tomcat website which is not much use if you don't know where to start looking.

Does anyone have any information on making this change?
