This is a new installation. Roles have been deployed without any problems. However I have a problem on configuration the provisioning server. It is failing to create scheduled tasks. If i go into scheduled tasks in windows the folder sturcutre has been created, however no tasks are created.
This is the error from the log file:

hope you can help me out on this one. Thanks
Instant invoicing - does this work for corporate customers? Or is it designed for retail - credit card only?
Scenario: Standard user creates ISO - when master user logs on they cannot see this users ISO? Is this by design? How can the master user manage user ISO's?
can we set a channel as non-active so we can plan the bundles and costs before making it live?
How do I update the Blacklist API’s? What file do I edit to do this?
Hi Team,
I'm following Doc http://support.citrix.com/proddocs/topic/cloudportalbusiness-14/ccpb-install.html

I am running CPBM version 1.4.1 and CS 3.0.5
I want to enable LDAP Authentication against Active Directory domain.
To enable LDAP, I have set the ldap.enable in the CPBM UI to true.
I have also added ldap details in the cloud.properties file
ldap.url=ldap://hostnameofmyDC:389
ldap.base=DC=orkki,DC=local
ldap.userdn=CN=ldapread,OU=CPBM,,DC=orkki,DC=local.password=ldapread
My channel is named as CPBM ib CPBM Ui.
Whent trying to login in with domain credentials located in CPBM OU I'm just getting error message that user account cannot be found. There are no infromation of the LDAP configuration details in catalina.out log file. How can I ensure that the LDAP configuraiton is activated?
Thanks,

Hi,
I'm setting up CPBM 1.4 with CP 3.05 in my lab enviroment. I was able get integration to work and I was able to login in to CPBM with default root credetials. The integration between CP worked intilally fine as I was able to retrieve data to the dashboard view. On the second login attempt CPSM started to ask for captcha's and after that I was not able to login in anymore. I even tried the password reset funtion, but as my installation is just plain default I have no idea where to what email reset link was sent to?
I asume that the account is now locked out and I was wodering that is there a way to check the status of root account and unlock it manually? I followed the basic troubleshooting help from edocs with no success.
Cheers,
-Mika
Can the CPBM user see the resources limits enforced on his account in the UI?
Hi,
We are evaulating the Citrix cloud portal 1.4.
As per the installtion guide we have successfully installed the Citrix cloud portal 1.4 on CentOS 6.2.
But we are not able to access the portal with URL http://<IP Address>:8080/Portal.
We have also checked the CAS URL http://<IP Address>:8080/cas which is accessible but after loging with root user it will not display anything.
Please help to resolve this issue.
Thanks in advance.

Hey all,
i setup Cloud Plattform 3.0.5 with the option "cloud-setup-databases" and i use the option for Management server key and for database key.
When I use the install script of CPBM 1.4.4 to configure CPBM, there is a point in the setup which is called
"Provide CloudPortal Security Settings"
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cloud Portal Encryption Key [AlphaMango654321]:
So my question is, for what is this key used? must this the same key as i used for CCP setup as database key?
The documentation says nothing about the key and for what is it used...
Thank you and Best Regards
I added a none bootable ISO to CS but I cannot add it to CPBM (under products > Add ISO group)
What is the method of adding and exposing none-bootable ISOs in CPBM to users?
I have a list of questions here that I have not been able to find answers too. Can anyone here help me out?
* When a user launches a VM is there a way for them to be able to know the speed of the vCPU? Say for example one service offerings has a vCPU at 1GHz and another has a vCPU at 1.66GHz, is it possible on the CPBM launch VM screen to distinguish between the speed of the cores?
* Is it possible for an existing account in CPBM to be associated with a campaign? I can't find how to do that. I can't even find how to associated a campaign during the user signup process. Maybe the user has to use a barcode reader to use a campaign?
* The Bandwidth product in CPBM is associated with what type of traffic? Is it only routed traffic that goes through a VR? Is it possible to distinguish between public traffic and inter-zone traffic and bill different rates depending on its destination? Is there any way to bill the traffic between two VMs on the same network?
* The billing units for some products are not necessarily cumulative. Obviously the hours a VM is running is, but products like Secondary Storage have a billing unit of GB-Month. The amount stored on Secondary Storage could be changing all the time, so how is that actually calculated? Is there an event system or a polling system that periodically checks the usage per account and then records the usage a that point in time? The mechanism for how the usage is billed in these cases is not obvious. Load Balancering is another example, it uses Policy-Month as a billing unit.
* Is there a way to cap the amount of a specific product an account can use? Is there anything stopping a single user from using all of the secondary storage for example? Limiting IP space is another big one. How are caps implemented in CPBM?
* Lets assume that a specific compute bundle includes 200 hours per month of some running VM. Is there any way for a user to know how much of the bundled usage they have consumed for the current month?
When going to Administrator --> Service Provider users --> Edit the root user
the subsequent menu with the root user details does not show up, a blank page is presented.
Same is true when moving to email addresses.
What could be the reason for this?
In the customer network we use a proxy which might not expose all ports from the internet. We saw that the page tries to access google analytics and gravatar. May it be that some ports could not be accessed or one of these pages is blocked by the proxy?
What exactly do we have to release in the proxy and why are we contacting google analytics?
Thanks for your help!

Christian
Is it possible to get email notification when a new account is created (self registration or manual)? If yes, where is the setting that controls which email will get that notification.
Hi team,
I installed the cpman 3.0.3 successful and wanna integrate with cpbm. My cpbm version is 1.4.2. Taking more than 2 days troubleshooting, i would like to post my issue to be supported.
Following is my topology and configuration
172.20.114.178: cpbm (CentOS 6.3 x64, cpbm 1.4.2)
172.20.114.179: cpman (CentOS 6.3 x64, cpman 3.0.3)
.179 - *cpman*:
integration.api.port = 8096
install cloud usage monitor
configure database (cpbm, Citrix123)
accept port 3306 and 8096 (iptables rule)
install "integrate with cloudstack" option (Cloudportal)
.178 - *cpbm*:
install httpd, sendmail, ntpd and configure
install database server (option D) and configure database user "cloud" /cloud
install CloudPortal Business Manager (option I) successful and configure cloud.properties.
configure /etc/httpd/http.conf/cloud.conf for proxy 8080
I also attach the files on this threat. The output of catalina.out showed that something wrong in java such as

On a fresh install of CentOS 6.3 plus MySql 5.1, I run the CloudPortal 1.4 install (CloudPortal-1.4.4-1-centos.tar.gz). During the package installs, I see invalid mirror url messages (see below). I believe the mirror issues are coming from the jpackage yum dependencies. Tomcat failed to install. Then, when it gets to the configuration step, because packages failed to install, it can't find the cloud.properties file. Am I missing something? Thanks.

Is it possible to leverage Private resources, such as private Compute Offering, Disk Offering, or Private Shared Network in CPBM?
For example, what is the process to expose a private shared network which was created in CS for a specific Account (account created in CS by CP)?
Same for private compute offering and disk offering created for a specific account?
Hi,
we are setting up CPBM and would like to integrate OpenLDAP. Is there any detailed documentation on how to do this? And if so are we able to migrate current users in the database to LDAP? What attributes are stored in LDAP and what in MySQL??
Thanks
Damien
Hi experts,
I´ve just installed CP and when I start the cloud-portal service I received this message:
Starting cloud-portal: /etc/rc.d/init.d/tomcat6: line 191: /var/log/cloud-portal/initd.log: No such file or directory
Error code 4 [FAILED]
I´ve tried to reinstall CPBM but I got the same message.
Anyone already saw this message or have idea that I can do to resolve?
Thanks
Dennis
Hey all,
maybe someone can help me to better understand how authentication works.
CPBM gives me the option to use LDAP and CAS to give the user the option to sign on with the AD Credentials.
CS gives me the Option to configure LDAP Authentication over the API Call ldap.config.
So what i have to configure that a User is able to sign on to CPBM with his AD Credentials and then make a singlesignon to the Cloudstack Dashboard?
From my side, i think i have to setup LDAP on booth, CS and CPBM and activate CAS because the cas service forwards the crendentials to cloudstack when a user launch the Cloud Console.
Is there a way to synchronzie the AD / CPBM user objects? I run a Script for CLoudstack which synchronizes the AD user to CS but whats with CPBM?
Whats about the roles in CPBM and CS, how thy match?
Thanks for your help
Hey all,
i run two CPBM Servers in Version 1.4.3 and CS 3.0.5
Now, i want to enable LDAP Authentication against a Central Active Directory.
To enable LDAP, i set the ldap.enable in the CPBM UI to true.
After that, i editet my cloud.properties file:
ldap.url=ldap://hostnameofmyDC:389
ldap.base=DC=tus,DC=tc,DC=internal
ldap.userdn=CN=ldap_cpbm,OU=CPBM,OU=Dienstkonten,DC=tus,DC=tc,DC=internaldap.password=PW123
I want that that CPBM searches in the root of the domain and not in a special OU, so i set the Domain DN as ldap.base.
When i create a Account in CPBM, i reach a message that something went wrong and i should contact the technical support.
The Catalina Log Shows me the following:
Error details:
______________
org.springframework.ldap.NameNotFoundException: [LDAP: error code 32 - 0000208D: NameErr: DSID-0310020A, problem 2001 (NO_OBJECT), data 0, best match of:

]; nested exception is javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: [LDAP: error code 32 - 0000208D: NameErr: DSID-0310020A, problem 2001 (NO_OBJECT), data 0, best match of:

at org.springframework.ldap.core.LdapTemplate.executeWithContext(LdapTemplate.java:810)
at org.springframework.ldap.core.LdapTemplate.executeReadWrite(LdapTemplate.java:802)
Normally, LDAP error 32 indicates that the BASE DN is invalid or the bind user have not the necessary rights to browse AD.
From my side, tha base DN is correct, its the right domain syntax and an ldap browser shows me the same value. The user for base dn hast standard domain user rights and should be able to browse AD.
Anybody knows what the failure is?
Thanks
When I´ve tried to login into CP with root user I received this message "Oops! An error has occurred. Please contact technical support at , , or our support website.". I don´t know why it happened...I didn´t any changes on this environment and suddenly it happened..
Help me please
Thanks
Dennis
Hey all,
so there is the confusing Integration of CPBM and CS....
My Setup:
2 Cloudstack 3.0.4 Management Servers
2 Cloud Portal Business Manager 1.4 Servers
2 MYSQL Nodes - conifgured as Cluster for the CPBM and CS DB
2 Netsaler MPX 7500 for Loadbalancing (CPBM and CS)
Integration in General works, i had done some customizing on the install.sh script of CPBM (Path failure and remote mysql). I also set the API Port in CS. I edited my conf file to use http over 8080 insteaf of https.
My question is, whats with the proxy.
For my understanding, is it necessary to configure at least one Apache host as Proxy for accessing the portal and CS.
The documetation is very confusing and has many gaps.
So my question is, it is possible to use the Netscaler as Proxy for the Portal and CS Access? From my side that should work, the apache doing only Loadbalancing. In that case the Tomcat catalina provides the Portal and the apache deamon should be stopped.
I think i have to configure one virtual Server on the Netscaler with Content Redirection which should balance
all requests to the FQDN + /portal --> 20410 and 8080 to the CPBM Servers
all requests to the FQDN + /client --> 80 to the CS Servers
The FQDN is assigned over DNS to the Virtual IP of the Netscaler Appliances.
But i have some trouble with this constellation. When i try to launch the cloud console over CPBM it only shows me a white screen.
Anyone some experience with that constellation?
BR
If it is possible, how can this be done from root admin perspective once a new account signed up?
I configured CP without SMTP and now I would like to add my SMTP settings to CP.
What is the recommended way to do it?
I could not find the proper place for this in the root UI and I am not sure if editing the cloud.properties file is the correct method.
Thanks!
Using CPBM 1.4.2.
I added a new Template Group product using the default CentOS 5 for XenServer.
I used the Name: 'CentOS 5' and Display Name: 'CentOS 5 for XS' - I assumed that the Display Name will show up in CPBM.
However, when I tried to deploy a bundle, the name was 'CentOS 5.6(64-bit) no GUI (XenServer)' (see image)
and when I click on Utility Rates it showed up as 'CentOS 5'
Is there a way to make sure the template display name is consistent across the Utility Rate Page and the bundle drop-down menu?

Hi,
I installed CPBM v1.4.2 and during the configuration I added 2 currencies, USD and CAD. everything shows up ok when creating products and bundles but I have a problem when I try to sign up as a 'Retail' user.
During the first screen of the sign-up process, I am required to select currency, but the drop-down menu does not have any option and I cannot proceed since this is a mandatory field.
I checked under Administration > Accounts Details > Retail > On boarding controls but did not find any option that may affect that.
Any suggestions on what I am doing wrong?
